Community Involvement: Jordan has been heavily involved in the community since he began playing junior hockey. While attending Brown University, he volunteered weekly in a first grade class at Vartan Gregorian Public School, working with children to develop their reading, writing and math skills. Also as a student-athlete, Jordan helped organize a Christmas toy drive for the Providence Children’s Hospital in 2009. At the conclusion of his senior season at Brown, Jordan was named the Derek Hines Unsung Hero Award winner. The award is given to the NCAA hockey player that best exemplifies leadership, character and team spirit.
As part of the Stingrays organization in Charleston, Jordan continued to impact the local community through volunteering at schools, emphasizing the importance of education and athletics, and encouraging kids to have fun and stay committed to fair play and hard work.
