Community Involvement: No stranger to helping kids in his community, since 2003 George has grown his hair throughout the hockey season and then cut it annually for donations on behalf of The Childhood Leukemia Foundation. The Foundation provides hair pieces and comfort packages to children with cancer.
“I started the Cut For Kids event in Anaheim in 2007,” George shared, “and the event has now grown to include fifty participants that cut their hair alongside me.”
George also started the Stache Gear clothing line, with profits benefiting The Childhood Leukemia Foundation and Garth Brooks’ Teammates For Kids Foundation.
