Daryl played minor hockey in Slave Lake and Junior hockey in Drayton Valley before lacing up for Princeton University. He graduated with a degree in Economics in 2007, and was recognized with the Class of 1941 trophy—awarded for winning spirit and inspiration to teammates.
He began his professional career with the Fresno Falcons of the ECHL and currently skates for the Stockton Thunder, where he’s earned a reputation as one of the league’s best all-around defensemen. Community Involvement: Every summer, Daryl returns to Slave Lake to conduct his Peak Performance Hockey School for kids. A volunteer youth coach during his time at Princeton, Daryl continues to stay involved within the community in California. He participates in the Faceoff Against Kids Cancer program, and spends time volunteering with the American Heart Association and the Poverello House soup kitchen.
