Community Involvement: Throughout his college career, Jarrett volunteered at numerous schools and read to children in the classroom. Also while attending Elmira College, he was a volunteer referee in a local ball hockey league. Since becoming a pro hockey player, Jarrett has participated in many hockey schools over the years, helping kids learn to skate and play hockey.
In 2008 as a member of the Fresno Falcons, Jarrett participated in a head-shaving fundraiser on behalf of The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers. Jarrett personally raised over $500 for the cause that year and another $745 for the event on March 23, 2011.
