While attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and majoring in Business, Oren coached two minor hockey teams and was awarded his team’s community service award during his senior year. He graduated from RPI with honors in 2007, earning a degree in business.

In 2009, Oren organized an event in Milwaukee that raised more than $9,000 for cancer research through a team head-shaving after a home game. He began a reading program while in Stockton that HP4K has molded into our official Stick to Reading initiative.
