1/10: “Give Moore for the Holidays” Comes Full Circle in Worcester

Two years ago, HP4K co-founder Mike Moore started the annual “Give Moore for the Holidays” program and he was excited to keep up the tradition this year.

Playing for the Worcester Sharks has given Moore the added bonus of having an organization and a team willing to do anything to help give back. This year, the team  hosted families from the Community Healthlink in Worcester at their December 26th home game and shared gifts with them after the game.

Twenty kids were paired up one-on-one with a Sharks player. After opening presents, everyone hung out together at the arena and the players autographed  t-shirts for the kids.

“We were fortunate enough to host our third annual HP4K Christmas toy giveaway in Worcester this year, and again it was only possible because the players were excited and enthusiastic to get up and help out in the community this holiday season. The families from Community HealthLink were also very excited to come to the hockey game and meet the players afterward, so everyone enjoyed the event.

What is amazing about HP4K is how its members have been able to expand on or incorporate their own holiday-themed community programs into the “Give Moore” event. That is certainly a testament to HP4K positively impacting the lives of children if you ask me!“   – Mike Moore
